Chapter 13: The Woman in the Emerald Dress

The world outside the Grand Alcazar Hotel had become a storm.

Helicopters circled above the glass tower.

News cameras pointed toward every entrance.

Reporters shouted questions into microphones.

"Is Julian Rossi's newborn child the next heir to the Rossi empire?"

"Who attacked the Grand Alcazar Hotel?"

"Why was Mrs. Rossi missing for eight months?"

The perfect image of the Rossi family had shattered.

And the world loved watching broken crowns fall.

But beneath the hotel...

Inside the hidden archive...

Julian stood frozen.

The woman he had brought into the hotel that night.

The woman who smiled beside him.

The woman who spoke about champagne and luxury rooms.

Camila.

She had been part of this from the beginning.

"No."

Julian shook his head.

It was not denial.

It was disbelief.

Marco looked at him.

"Sir."

Julian stared at the blank screen.

"She knew."

"Yes."

"She knew Elena was alive."

"Yes."

"She knew about the baby."

Marco nodded.

"Apparently."

Julian closed his eyes.

Every conversation replayed inside his mind.

Camila asking questions.

Camila criticizing Elena.

Camila telling him to leave.

At the time...

He thought she was simply jealous.

Now he understood.

Every word had been calculated.

Every reaction had been designed.

She wasn't shocked when she saw Elena.

She was measuring the situation.

Elena watched him quietly.

She knew that expression.

The expression of someone discovering another betrayal.

Another piece of their life that had been stolen.

"I'm sorry."

Julian looked at her.

"For what?"

"For bringing you back into this."

His face immediately changed.

"Elena."

She looked down.

"Everyone around us is dangerous."

"My mother."

"Adrian."

"Camila."

"Lorenzo."

A tear fell.

"I wanted to give our child a normal life."

Julian knelt beside her.

Despite the chaos.

Despite the danger.

Despite everything.

He held her hand.

"Listen to me."

She looked at him.

"Our child doesn't need a perfect world."

"He needs parents who protect him."

"And he has that."

Elena's eyes filled.

"You still believe me?"

Julian didn't hesitate.

"I never stopped."

A sudden sound interrupted them.

The archive door unlocked.

Everyone raised their weapons.

The heavy steel door slowly opened.

Nobody moved.

Then...

A figure stepped inside.

Not an attacker.

Not a soldier.

A woman.

Older.

Holding a small suitcase.

Lorenzo's face changed.

"Sofia."

Everyone turned.

Adrian froze.

The woman looked at him.

"My son."

Adrian's expression collapsed.

"Mother?"

Julian stared.

Another secret.

Another person who was supposed to be gone.

The woman walked slowly toward Adrian.

"I thought I would never see this family again."

Adrian looked angry.

"You knew?"

"Knew what?"

"Everything."

Sofia looked toward Julian.

Then Elena.

Then the newborn child.

"I knew enough."

Julian stepped forward.

"Who are you?"

Sofia looked at him.

For a moment...

She looked almost sad.

"I am the woman your father abandoned."

Silence.

"And Adrian's mother."

Adrian looked away.

All his anger suddenly seemed smaller.

Like a child standing in the shadow of an old wound.

Sofia opened the suitcase.

Inside were documents.

Original documents.

"These are the real records."

Lorenzo stepped forward.

"What records?"

"The Rossi family agreements."

She looked at him.

"The ones everyone has been fighting over."

Julian frowned.

"Why do you have them?"

"Because Alessandro gave them to me."

Everyone froze.

"My father?"

Sofia nodded.

"He knew the family would destroy itself."

"He knew greed would eventually consume everyone."

"He wanted someone outside the empire to protect the truth."

Julian looked at Adrian.

"And you knew?"

Adrian shook his head.

"No."

For the first time...

Adrian looked genuinely lost.

Sofia placed the documents on the table.

"The real inheritance was never money."

Everyone looked confused.

"Then what?"

She smiled sadly.

"The Rossi empire was built on one principle."

"Responsibility."

Julian frowned.

"What does that mean?"

"It means the heir does not own everything."

"The heir protects everything."

She looked at the baby.

"Your child is not valuable because he can control billions."

"He is valuable because he represents the chance to end this cycle."

Marco examined the documents.

Then his expression changed.

"Wait."

Everyone looked at him.

"There is something else."

He turned a page.

A signature.

A name.

Julian walked closer.

His blood ran cold.

The document was signed by:

Alessandro Rossi.

And beneath it...

Another signature.

Victoria Rossi.

Julian looked at his mother.

"You knew."

Victoria looked away.

"Yes."

His voice became quiet.

"You knew my father had another son."

"Yes."

"You knew Adrian was my brother."

"Yes."

"Why?"

Victoria finally broke.

"Because I was afraid."

Julian stared.

"You?"

She nodded.

"For years, I believed Adrian would destroy you."

"And instead..."

She looked at him.

"I helped create the monster I feared."

Adrian laughed softly.

Everyone looked at him.

"Do you hear that?"

His eyes were filled with pain.

"All these years..."

"I thought they hated me because I was dangerous."

"But they hated me because I reminded them of their mistakes."

Julian looked at him.

"Adrian..."

"No."

He shook his head.

"Don't."

A pause.

"I did terrible things."

"I know."

"I hurt Elena."

"I know."

"I tried to take your child."

Julian's face hardened.

"I know."

Adrian lowered his head.

"But I wasn't born a monster."

Nobody answered.

Because that was the uncomfortable truth.

Then Marco's radio suddenly activated.

A voice came through.

"Commander."

"Report."

A pause.

Then:

"The media has received leaked documents."

Marco frowned.

"What documents?"

"The child's birth records."

Julian immediately looked at Elena.

"What?"

The soldier continued:

"And there is a public announcement."

"From who?"

A long silence.

Then:

"From Camila Rossi."

Everyone froze.

Marco looked at the screen.

A live broadcast appeared.

Camila stood in front of hundreds of reporters.

Perfect makeup.

Perfect dress.

Perfect smile.

Behind her...

The Rossi family symbol.

She spoke:

"My name is Camila Rossi."

"The child born tonight is not the only heir."

She looked directly into the camera.

"My bloodline has been hidden for decades."

A pause.

"And I am here to reclaim what belongs to me."

The reporters erupted.

Questions everywhere.

Then Camila said the sentence that changed everything:

"Julian Rossi's son is not the last Rossi heir."

A smile.

"He is only one of them."

Inside the archive...

Julian looked at Elena.

Another battle.

Another enemy.

But this time...

He wasn't standing alone.

He looked at his son.

Then at his wife.

Then at everyone who had fought beside them.

And he realized something.

For years...

The Rossi family had fought over who deserved power.

But they had forgotten the only question that mattered.

Who deserved to protect the family?

Julian stepped forward.

"Let her come."

Everyone looked at him.

Marco frowned.

"Sir?"

Julian looked at the screen.

At Camila.

At the woman who tried to steal his future.

"She wants a war."

A pause.

"Then she can face the family she tried to destroy."

Outside...

The world watched.

Inside...

The final battle for the Rossi legacy had begun.
