Chapter 6: The Brother's Secret

Emily stared at the photograph.
Her fingers went numb.
The image on the screen seemed impossible.
Amina was alive.
Standing in a white wedding dress.
Her face was terrified.
And behind her...
Adam.
Holding a knife.
The man who had spent the last few hours claiming he was trying to save her.
The man who had risked everything to expose Daniel Voss.
The man who said he was her brother.
Emily slowly lowered the phone.
Nobody spoke.
The silence was heavier than any scream.
Adam looked at her expression.
"What did you see?"
Emily didn't answer.
That was enough.
Adam understood.
His face changed.
"Show me."
Emily hesitated.
Then she handed him the phone.
The moment he saw the picture...
He stopped breathing.
Not because he was surprised.
Because he recognized the place.
The room behind Amina.
"The old Rahman house."
Marcus Hale looked at him.
"You're sure?"
Adam nodded slowly.
"Yes."
Emily noticed something.
He wasn't shocked by the photo.
He was shocked by the location.
"You know where she is."
Adam looked at her.
"No."
"Don't lie."
Emily stepped closer.
"You knew exactly where that picture was taken."
Adam stayed silent.
And that silence was becoming an answer.
Sara, still weak but conscious, whispered:
"He knew."
Everyone turned.
Adam looked at her.
"Sara..."
"No."
Her voice trembled.
"It's time."
Emily frowned.
"Time for what?"
Sara looked directly at Adam.
"Time for them to know the truth."
Adam's face hardened.
"Don't."
But Sara continued.
"The truth about the night Amina disappeared."
Eight hours earlier.
Before the wedding.
Before the fake death.
Before the entire world believed Amina Rahman had become a victim.
Amina stood inside the old Rahman family mansion.
The house had been abandoned for three years.
Dust covered the furniture.
The walls held memories nobody wanted to remember.
Her mother died here.
Her father left here.
And according to everyone...
Amina's childhood ended here.
She stood in front of an old mirror.
Wearing the wedding dress she was supposed to wear that night.
But she wasn't preparing for a marriage.
She was preparing for war.
A voice came from behind.
"You shouldn't have come back."
Amina didn't turn around.
"I knew you'd follow me."
Adam stepped into the room.
Her older brother.
The person she trusted most.
The person who raised her after their mother died.
"Where is Daniel?"
Amina asked.
Adam looked away.
"Don't do this."
"Do you know what he did?"
"I know enough."
"No."
Amina turned.
"You know nothing."
She pulled out a folder.
Inside were documents.
Photos.
Medical records.
Names.
Seven women.
Seven deaths.
Seven husbands who inherited fortunes afterward.
Adam looked through them.
His expression changed.
"Where did you get these?"
"Daniel's private files."
Adam froze.
"Impossible."
"Nothing is impossible with someone like him."
Amina stepped closer.
"He didn't choose me because he loved me."
She touched her wedding ring.
"He chose me because my family was next."
Adam looked terrified.
"What are you going to do?"
Amina answered:
"Expose him."
"No."
Adam grabbed her arm.
"You don't understand who you're dealing with."
Amina pulled away.
"That's exactly what everyone says."
She looked at him.
"And that's why he keeps winning."
Adam lowered his voice.
"Then let me handle it."
Amina laughed bitterly.
"Like you handled Mom's death?"
The room became silent.
Adam's face changed.
Amina's voice softened.
"I know."
He looked at her.
"I know you found the truth years ago."
A pause.
"You knew Mom wasn't killed by accident."
Adam looked away.
"You were sixteen."
"You protected me by lying."
"No."
His voice broke.
"I protected you by staying quiet."
Amina stared.
"Why?"
Adam couldn't answer.
Because the answer was worse than silence.
Back in the underground station...
Emily looked at Adam.
"You knew about Daniel for years."
Adam didn't deny it.
"Yes."
"Then why pretend you were the groom?"
Adam closed his eyes.
"Because Daniel had to believe I was on his side."
Emily shook her head.
"That makes no sense."
"It does."
Adam looked at her.
"If Daniel knew I was against him, Amina would have died before the wedding started."
Sara whispered:
"But you made one mistake."
Adam looked at her.
"What?"
"You underestimated Daniel."
Everyone became quiet.
Sara continued.
"You thought you were controlling the plan."
She looked at Emily.
"But Daniel was controlling you."
A sudden noise interrupted them.
A car engine.
Everyone turned.
A black vehicle stopped near the abandoned station.
The doors opened.
Four people stepped out.
They were not police.
They were not security.
They were wearing the same symbol.
A small silver circle on their jackets.
Marcus's face changed.
"No..."
Emily looked at him.
"What?"
He whispered:
"The Circle."
Adam immediately grabbed Emily.
"We have to move."
But it was too late.
A voice came from the darkness.
Calm.
Familiar.
Daniel Voss.
"Running again, Adam?"
Emily froze.
The man stepped into the light.
The groom.
The man who had supposedly been at the wedding.
The man who was supposed to be the enemy.
Daniel smiled.
"I was wondering when you'd finally tell her the truth."
Adam stepped forward.
"Where is Amina?"
Daniel looked at Emily.
Not Adam.
"You still don't understand."
He smiled.
"Amina isn't the person you need to find."
Emily felt a chill.
"Then who?"
Daniel's eyes moved toward Sara.
"The real bride."
Everyone turned.
Sara's face went white.
Daniel smiled.
"Because the woman you rescued..."
He paused.
"Was never supposed to be Amina's replacement."
The world seemed to stop.
Emily whispered:
"Then who is she?"
Daniel answered:
May you like
"She is the woman who killed the first bride."
