Chapter 4 — Home Again (Ending)
Six months later.
The city gathered outside the newly opened Santos Family Foundation.
Reporters crowded the streets.
Cameras flashed endlessly.
But inside the building, the atmosphere felt very different.
Warm.
Peaceful.
Alive.
The foundation had already helped thousands of missing persons reconnect with their families.
It had funded shelters.
Hospitals.
Recovery programs.
All created in honor of the man who saved Elena's life.
At the center of the ceremony stood Alejandro and Elena.
Together.
Stronger than ever.
A reporter raised her hand.
“Mr. Alejandro, after everything you've been through, what is the greatest lesson you've learned?”
The billionaire smiled.
Then looked at Elena.
“The most valuable thing I ever owned wasn't my company.”
“It wasn't my wealth.”
“It wasn't power.”
He gently took Elena's hand.
“It was the person I almost lost.”
The crowd fell silent.
Nearby, children laughed in the foundation garden.
Families embraced.
Lives were being rebuilt.
Elena squeezed Alejandro's hand.
“Do you regret anything?”
she whispered.
Alejandro smiled softly.
“Yes.”
“What?”
He looked toward the skyline.
“I regret wasting years believing lies instead of following my heart.”
Elena laughed through tears.
Then rested her head on his shoulder.
For the first time in years, neither of them felt lost.
Neither of them felt broken.
They were finally home.
Together.
And as the sun set over the city, the camera slowly pulled away from the foundation bearing the name of the man who saved them all.
A reminder that sometimes love disappears...
May you like
Only so it can find its way back stronger than ever.
THE END.
