CHAPTER 2 — WHAT THE DOCTORS NEVER SAW

CHAPTER 2 — WHAT THE DOCTORS NEVER SAW

That night, Marcus didn’t go home.

He went straight to the hospital.

Private records. Private doctors. Private security.

Everything money could buy.

The lead doctor avoided his eyes.

“There was no organic damage,” the doctor said carefully. “Her eyes were… functional.”

Marcus leaned forward.

“Functional?”

The doctor hesitated.

“She wasn’t blind in a medical sense. But her brain… it was being suppressed.”

Marcus felt a cold pressure in his chest.

“Suppressed by what?”

The doctor slid a thin file across the table.

A prescription record.

Signed by his wife.

Marcus stared at the signature for a long time.

Too clean.

Too confident.

Like it had been written many times before.

Back at home that night, Marcus found something worse.

Hidden inside his daughter’s room was a second set of medicine bottles.

Different labels.

Different doctor names.

All traced back to one private clinic.

A clinic his wife had personally funded.

Marcus whispered into the empty room:

“What did you do to our daughter…”

May you like

And behind him, the hallway light flickered once.

Like someone had just walked past.
