Chapter 3: Home

Six months later.

The grand ballroom looked completely different.

No gala.

No wealthy guests.

Instead, it had become the opening ceremony for the Lily Hope Foundation, a center providing free rehabilitation, counseling, and shelter for children with disabilities and homeless families.

Children laughed across the marble floor where silence had once ruled.

Lily walked slowly beside her father.

Not perfectly.

Not without effort.

But she walked.

Every single step was her own.

Standing beside them was Elias.

Still humble.

Still wearing simple clothes.

Though now they actually fit.

A reporter approached him.

"People around the world are calling you the miracle boy."

Elias smiled awkwardly.

"I'm not."

"Then what happened that night?"

He looked toward Lily.

"I just asked a question."

The reporter frowned.

"What question?"

Elias smiled.

"'Do you want to try?'"

Across the room, Lily heard him and laughed.

"I'll never stop trying."

Her father wrapped an arm around both children.

For years, he had spent millions searching for someone to save his daughter.

In the end...

The person who changed their lives arrived barefoot.

Not carrying medicine.

Not carrying fame.

Only carrying kindness.

Sometimes the greatest miracles are not found in hospitals or fortunes.

Sometimes...

They begin with one child believing in another.

And from that single act of faith, an entire family's future was rewritten.

The End.
