Chapter 11 - The Real BetrayalIsabella couldn't breathe.

“Celine?”
The woman holding Celeste laughed.
“I told you there were two.”
Nathan stared.
“But Celine was shot.”
The woman released Celeste.
Celeste fell to the floor.
The mysterious woman stepped into the light.
She looked identical to both sisters.
Same eyes.
Same features.
Same voice.
Isabella whispered:
“There's another one.”
Helena nodded.
“Yes.”
The woman smiled.
“My name is Clara.”
Three sisters.
Three daughters.
Three lives built on a lie.
Richard looked stunned.
“You were never supposed to survive.”
Clara smiled.
“You weren't supposed to bury me.”
Isabella felt dizzy.
“How many children did Mother have?”
“Three,” Helena whispered.
“Why?”
Richard had been silent.
Now he spoke.
“Because your grandfather wanted an heir who could never be challenged.”
He explained.
Three daughters had been born.
But only one could inherit.
So two were hidden.
One was given to another family.
One was declared dead.
One was raised in the mansion.
Isabella.
“But why me?”
“Because you were the most obedient.”
Celeste laughed bitterly.
“Until she stopped being obedient.”
Clara looked at Isabella.
“And that's when I came back.”
Celine stepped forward weakly.
“You weren't the one who pushed her.”
Clara smiled.
“No.”
Celeste looked at Isabella.
“I told you.”
Isabella remembered the staircase.
The hand.
The red dress.
Then something clicked.
The hand had belonged to Clara.
Not Celeste.
Clara had worn the same dress.
She had pushed Isabella.
But why?
“Because I needed everyone to believe Celeste did it.”
Clara's voice was calm.
“Why?”
“To destroy the family from inside.”
Nathan understood.
“You wanted the inheritance.”
Clara smiled.
“No.”
She turned toward Richard.
“I wanted revenge.”
Richard raised his gun.
“For what?”
Clara's face hardened.
“For my brother.”
Everyone froze.
“Gabriel?”
Clara nodded.
“Richard killed him.”
Richard laughed.
“Gabriel betrayed me.”
“No.”
Clara stepped closer.
“Gabriel discovered the truth about the family.”
“What truth?”
Clara answered:
“The Vale fortune was stolen.”
Isabella stared.
“From whom?”
“Thousands of families.”
She pulled out documents.
“Factories. Land. Banks. Politicians. Your grandfather built the empire through a network of fraud, coercion, and murder.”
Helena nodded.
“And Gabriel wanted to expose it.”
Richard shouted:
“He would have destroyed us!”
Clara replied:
“He wanted justice.”
Silence.
Then the mansion's security system activated.
A recording began playing.
Gabriel's voice.
If you're hearing this, I am dead.
Isabella listened.
The recording revealed everything.
The blackmail files.
The hidden accounts.
The murders.
The forged records.
And one final confession.
Richard did not kill Gabriel alone.
Someone else helped him.
Someone Isabella trusted.
She turned slowly.
Nathan stood behind her.
His face was pale.
The recording continued.
The name of the accomplice was about to be spoken.
Nathan whispered:
“Isabella…”
The audio crackled.
Then came the final words.
The accomplice is—
The recording stopped.
May you like
The mansion went dark.
And when the lights returned, Nathan was gone.
