CHAPTER 2: THE SECRET NO DOCTOR FOUND

CHAPTER 1: THE BOY WHO WOULDN'T LEAVE

The laughter grew louder.

A waiter hurried toward the boy.

"Kid, you can't be here."

But the boy didn't move.

His dark eyes scanned the room.

Patiently.

Carefully.

As if searching for someone.

The guests continued recording with their phones.

A few security guards began walking toward him.

Then the boy pointed.

Straight across the restaurant.

Toward the private dining section.

Toward the most important guest in the room.

Victoria Sterling.

The billionaire founder of Sterling Global.

Seventy years old.

Worth nearly twelve billion dollars.

And dying.

For three years, Victoria had suffered from a mysterious illness.

The world's best doctors had failed.

Experimental treatments had failed.

Every specialist had delivered the same verdict:

"There is nothing more we can do."

Tonight's dinner was supposed to celebrate her final public appearance before retirement.

The room fell silent.

The boy kept pointing.

"I came for her."

More laughter erupted.

Victoria's chief assistant stepped forward.

"Remove him."

But before security could touch him, the boy spoke again.

"I know why she's sick."

The words echoed through the restaurant.

Suddenly nobody laughed.

Victoria slowly raised her hand.

The guards stopped.

The old billionaire stared at the child.

For reasons she couldn't explain...

Something about him felt familiar.

"Bring him here," she said quietly.

The room exploded with whispers.

The barefoot boy calmly walked across the marble floor and stopped in front of her table.

Victoria studied him carefully.

"What's your name?"

"Ethan."

"And how do you know about my illness?"

The boy looked directly into her eyes.

"Because my grandmother had the same thing."

The doctors exchanged skeptical glances.

Victoria folded her hands.

"What happened to her?"

Ethan smiled softly.

"She got better."

May you like

For the first time in months...

Victoria felt hope.
