CHAPTER 2: THE SECRET BEHIND THE DRESS
CHAPTER 1: THE QUEEN OF THE HOUSE
Security hesitated for only a second.
Then they lowered their heads.
"Ms. Aiyana," the chief of security said respectfully, "shall we escort Miss Vivianne outside?"
The entire ballroom gasped.
Vivianne laughed nervously.
"This is ridiculous," she snapped. "You work for my family! Tell these people who I am!"
No one moved.
Instead, the security chief answered quietly.
"We work for the owner of the Ravencrest Estate."
His eyes shifted toward Aiyana.
"And that is Ms. Aiyana."
The color drained from Vivianne's face.
"You... you're lying."
Aiyana calmly accepted a handkerchief from a staff member and wiped a small trace of wine from her fingers.
"You've attended charity galas here for three years," she said. "Did you ever wonder why you've never met the owner?"
Vivianne's lips trembled.
Aiyana stepped forward.
"I prefer observing people when they don't know who's watching."
The guests exchanged horrified glances.
They remembered every cruel joke, every act of arrogance, every person they had dismissed because they seemed unimportant.
Aiyana had seen it all.
"You judged worth by designer labels," Aiyana continued. "You measured humanity by bank accounts."
Her gaze settled on Vivianne.
"And tonight, you revealed exactly who you are."
Vivianne suddenly dropped to her knees.
"Please... I didn't know."
Aiyana's expression remained unreadable.
"That's precisely the problem."
Security escorted Vivianne out as cameras flashed and whispers erupted throughout the hall.

The queen of the house had spoken.
And the kingdom listened.
