Chapter 12 - The Sterling Estate had become a fortress.Security teams surrounded the property.

Police barricades blocked the road.

Helicopters circled overhead.

But beneath the estate, something older had awakened.

The vault.

The real vault.

Not the Swiss one.

Not the warehouse.

The original.

Buried twenty meters beneath the foundations.

Daniel led them through a hidden corridor.

Victoria walked behind him.

Elena stayed beside Julian.

Ava followed.

For once, the entire family moved together.

No lies.

No masks.

At least not yet.

They reached a steel door.

Daniel looked at Julian.

“This is where it ends.”

Julian stared at the biometric panel.

“What do I do?”

“Touch it.”

Julian placed his hand against the scanner.

Nothing happened.

Elena looked at Ava.

Ava stepped forward.

She placed her hand beside his.

The system beeped.

Still nothing.

Victoria moved forward.

“No.”

She touched the scanner.

The lights flashed.

RED.

ACCESS DENIED.

Victoria stepped back.

Elena frowned.

“Why isn't it opening?”

Daniel looked at the screen.

Then his face went pale.

“The system needs three signatures.”

Julian looked at Elena.

“Ava.”

Daniel shook his head.

“Not Ava.”

Everyone turned toward him.

“The third signature is Isabella.”

Ava whispered:

“Then we're trapped.”

Suddenly the doors opened.

Everyone froze.

A woman's footsteps echoed through the tunnel.

Slow.

Measured.

Isabella entered.

She carried no weapon.

She didn't need one.

She looked at her sisters.

Then Julian.

Then Victoria.

“Hello, family.”

Victoria stepped forward.

“Isabella.”

“I wondered how long it would take.”

Julian stared.

“You're behind everything.”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“Because Mother chose you.”

She pointed at him.

“You got the family.”

“Love.”

“Money.”

“A normal life.”

“And I got the laboratory.”

Elena stepped forward.

“I didn't choose any of this.”

Isabella smiled.

“Neither did I.”

Victoria's face crumpled.

“I was trying to protect you.”

“You protected them.”

Isabella looked at Elena and Ava.

“Then you came back.”

Elena swallowed.

“I came for the truth.”

“No.”

Isabella shook her head.

“You came for revenge.”

“That isn't who I am.”

“Not anymore.”

Isabella touched the scanner.

The door opened.

Inside was a chamber filled with servers.

Hundreds of screens.

Bank accounts.

Government files.

Shipment records.

Murder reports.

Names.

Everything.

Julian looked horrified.

“This is the entire network.”

Isabella nodded.

“And all of it belongs to me.”

Victoria whispered:

“You'll destroy yourself.”

Isabella smiled.

“No.”

She pointed at the central server.

“I'll destroy everyone.”

She pressed a key.

A countdown appeared.

10:00:00.

Elena stared.

“What is that?”

“Automatic release.”

“Release of what?”

“Everything.”

“All data.”

“All names.”

“All crimes.”

“All bank accounts.”

“All governments compromised.”

“And every person connected to Black Meridian.”

Julian looked at her.

“If you release it, innocent people will die.”

Isabella's eyes hardened.

“They already died.”

Daniel stepped forward.

“You don't have to do this.”

Isabella stared at him.

“You left us.”

“I was trying to save you.”

“You failed.”

She drew a gun.

Victoria stepped in front of Elena.

“Then kill me.”

Isabella aimed.

“Mama.”

Victoria closed her eyes.

But the shot never came.

Because Ava stepped between them.

The bullet struck Ava in the shoulder.

Elena screamed.

“Ava!”

Ava collapsed.

Isabella stared at the blood on her own hand.

Her face changed.

For the first time, she looked afraid.

Elena knelt beside Ava.

Julian shouted for help.

And Isabella whispered:

“I didn't mean to.”

The countdown continued.

09:41:03.

The family had less than ten hours to stop the apocalypse Victor had built.

And somewhere outside the vault...

Victor Sterling was smiling.
