"So... you still need financing."
The loan officer immediately interrupted.

Everyone looked at him.

"His VA approval was issued months ago."
"The loan is fully eligible."

He opened another document.
"...the remaining balance will be covered by proceeds from a military settlement fund."
The realtor blinked.
The veteran wasn't struggling to qualify.
He had simply chosen to finance through the VA because he had earned that benefit.
