Chapter 2: The Secret He Never Told

The next morning, news of the incident spread through business circles like wildfire.

Journalists searched for answers.

Why would a man worth hundreds of millions wash cars in a showroom?

Samuel finally agreed to one interview.

He sat in a small wooden chair instead of a luxurious office.

"I wasn't testing anyone," he said softly. "I simply enjoy honest work."

He explained that decades ago, when his company first started, he had worked as a cleaner in a repair garage.

He swept floors.

He washed vehicles.

He stayed late polishing customers' cars.

Those jobs had taught him discipline, gratitude, and respect.

"When success arrived," Samuel said, "I promised myself never to forget the feeling of earning an honest dollar with my own hands."

The interviewer hesitated before asking the question everyone wanted answered.

"What about your family?"

Samuel's smile faded.

"My wife passed away many years ago," he replied.

"And my son..."

He stopped.

"...believed money was more important than people."

Their relationship had shattered because Samuel refused to give him control of the company.

His son disappeared overseas, consumed by greed and resentment.

Samuel had spent years wondering whether he had failed as a father.

Back in the showroom, the billionaire who had mocked him replayed every word in his mind.

For the first time in years, he felt ashamed.
