Chapter 19 - The Fall of the ArchitectThe elevator doors opened.

Helena walked into the command center.

She was alone.

No guards.

No weapons visible.

Still, everyone stepped backward.

Meredith stared.

“How?”

Helena smiled.

“You still think power comes from money.”

She looked at the senator.

“You should have stayed buried.”

The senator raised his head.

“You lost.”

Helena laughed.

“No.”

She looked at Julian.

“I won.”

Meredith stepped between them.

“You manipulated my family.”

“I created it.”

“You destroyed it.”

“Families destroy themselves.”

Helena held out a phone.

Every screen lit up.

Financial markets crashed.

Government databases leaked.

News stations aired Meridian's files.

But hidden within the files was something else.

A fabricated confession.

Julian appeared on every screen.

It showed him ordering assassinations.

Bribing politicians.

Selling classified information.

The world had just been given a villain.

Julian Sterling.

Meredith stared at the footage.

“This isn't real.”

Helena smiled.

“It doesn't need to be.”

Julian's face hardened.

“You framed me.”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“Because people need someone to blame.”

She looked at him.

“And you're perfect.”

Meredith reached for the upload system.

Helena shook her head.

“Too late.”

Meredith stopped.

“What did you do?”

Helena smiled.

“The final protocol.”

Every bank.

Every government.

Every media company.

Every major corporation connected to Meridian received an instruction.

JULIAN STERLING IS THE ARCHITECT.

The world would believe it.

Meredith looked at Julian.

He was speechless.

Then Adrian entered.

He had a gun.

He aimed at Helena.

“Enough.”

Helena smiled.

“You finally grew up.”

Adrian's hand shook.

“You destroyed everything.”

“No.”

She looked at Meredith.

“I revealed everything.”

Adrian lowered his weapon.

Meredith stepped forward.

“Adrian.”

He looked at her.

“What?”

“The archive.”

He nodded.

“The original files are authentic.”

“Can they prove Julian was framed?”

“Yes.”

“Then broadcast them.”

“Already trying.”

Helena laughed.

But her smile faded.

A notification appeared on every screen.

LIVE TRANSMISSION ACTIVE.

The authentic archive began streaming.

Helena's face changed.

“No.”

Meredith stared.

The world was watching.

Every secret.

Every murder.

Every betrayal.

Then the final recording appeared.

Helena herself.

Confessing.

Her own voice filled the room.

“I created the protocol.”

She stared at the screens.

“I ordered the senator's assassination.”

The room went silent.

Helena looked at Meredith.

“You think this ends here?”

Sirens echoed outside.

She smiled.

“Meredith.”

She leaned closer.

“Your mother still owes you an apology.”

Meredith frowned.

“My mother is dead.”

Helena whispered:

May you like

“No.”

“She isn't.”
