Chapter 15 - NO MORE VEILSThe room fell silent.

The old recording continued.

Their grandmother looked directly into the camera.

"Damian is not Victor Hale's son."

Brianna closed her eyes.

Relief and confusion collided inside her.

Her grandmother continued.

"His biological father was another man."

She named him.

A wealthy businessman who had once partnered with Victor.

A man who had died years before.

His name was Daniel Blackwood.

Damian's face went pale.

"My father's name."

Their grandmother nodded.

"He was your biological father."

Damian stared at the screen.

"And Victor?"

"Victor knew."

"Then why did everyone lie?"

"Because Richard discovered the truth."

Richard had wanted the Blackwood fortune and the Hale trust.

He had manipulated Victor.

He had manipulated the sisters.

He had even manipulated the marriage.

But one thing had never gone according to plan.

Brianna and Damian had genuinely fallen in love.

Their grandmother smiled faintly.

"Love was the one thing they could not control."

Brianna began crying.

Damian looked at her.

They were not related.

The lie had nearly destroyed the only honest thing they had ever built.

The recording continued.

"When Brianna becomes the legal owner of the trust, the hidden archive will automatically expose every fraudulent transaction."

Brianna looked at the documents.

"So the trust was never about money."

"It was evidence."

Her grandmother nodded.

"It was created as a trap."

For Richard.

For Victor.

For every person who had tried to steal what did not belong to them.

The final section of the video revealed that the authorities had already received copies of every document.

Richard's escape could not save him.

His empire was collapsing.

The police found him three days later in an abandoned warehouse.

He was arrested.

Victor Hale was also charged with multiple crimes.

The Blackwood family business was placed under independent management.

Ariana testified against her father and Richard.

Ethan survived his gunshot wound.

And Brianna's mother finally admitted everything she had hidden.

Months later, the family stood inside the same church where Brianna had once walked down the aisle behind Ariana's veil.

This time, there was no deception.

No borrowed name.

No secret.

Brianna wore a simple white dress.

Damian stood at the altar.

Ariana sat in the front row.

She smiled through tears.

The minister looked at Brianna.

"Do you take Damian Blackwood as your husband?"

Brianna looked into Damian's eyes.

"I do."

The minister turned to Damian.

"And do you take Brianna Hale?"

Damian smiled.

"I do."

They exchanged rings.

Then Damian leaned closer.

"This time, you're really my wife."

Brianna laughed softly.

"No more pretending."

"No more secrets."

He kissed her.

The room erupted in applause.

Later that evening, Brianna stood alone outside the church.

Ariana walked toward her.

"I owe you an apology."

Brianna turned.

Ariana took a breath.

"I spent so much time believing you stole my life."

Brianna smiled faintly.

"You didn't lose your life."

Ariana nodded.

"I know."

She looked toward Damian.

"You found yours."

Brianna smiled.

"And you found the courage to tell the truth."

Ariana laughed through her tears.

"Maybe we're finally sisters."

Brianna embraced her.

For the first time, there was no jealousy between them.

Only peace.

But just as they were about to leave, a black envelope was placed beneath Brianna's car windshield.

She opened it.

Inside was a single photograph.

Her grandmother.

Victor.

Richard.

And another person standing behind them.

Brianna's smile disappeared.

On the back of the photograph were six words:

You exposed them. But not me.

Her heart began pounding.

Ariana stepped closer.

"What is it?"

Brianna handed her the photograph.

Ariana stared.

Then her face turned white.

"That's impossible."

"Who is it?"

Ariana whispered the name.

"The person who started everything."

Damian walked toward them.

"What happened?"

Neither sister answered.

The church bells rang behind them.

Brianna turned the photograph over again.

At the bottom was a date.

A date from two days in the future.

And beneath it was a final message:

Enjoy your wedding.

It will be your last peaceful night.

Brianna slowly looked at Damian.

The veil had been lifted.

The truth had been exposed.

But somewhere in the darkness, another secret had already begun to move.

May you like

And this time, it was coming for all of them.
