**MY DAUGHTER CLIMBED INTO HER FATHER’S COFFIN—THEN THE “DEAD” MAN OPENED HIS EYES**

MY DAUGHTER CLIMBED INTO HER FATHER’S COFFIN—THEN WHISPERED, “MOMMY… HE’S STILL WARM.”

I thought I was watching my seven-year-old say goodbye to her father.

Then Madison climbed into his coffin.

The chapel fell silent as she crawled beside the man in the gray suit and wrapped both arms around him. Her mother rushed forward, terrified.

“Madison, sweetheart. Come out.”

Madison refused.

She pressed her cheek against his chest, sobbing.

“He doesn’t want me to be scared.”

Nobody moved.

Then Madison suddenly lifted her head.

“Mommy…”

Her voice trembled.

“He’s still warm.”

Her mother froze.

Before anyone could answer, the dead man’s fingers twitched.

Once.

Then again.

A gasp tore through the chapel.

Madison stared down at her father as his hand slowly lifted from his stomach.

Weakly, almost impossibly, his fingers reached her hair.

And brushed it.

The entire room erupted in shock.
