The following morning, Richard entered Whitman Holdings with his usual confidence.
Employees greeted him politely.
None met his eyes.
At 9:00 a.m., an emergency board meeting began.
Richard sat at the head of the table.
Amanda entered last.
She wasn't alone.
Behind her stood five senior attorneys.
Richard frowned.
"What is this?"
Amanda placed a flash drive on the table.
"This."
The screen lit up.
Video after video played.
Richard humiliating Ethan.
Vivian encouraging emotional abuse.
Brooke calling the child "worthless."
Silence filled the boardroom.
Then another document appeared.
Financial records.
Richard had secretly transferred company resources to luxury apartments, vacations, and gifts for Brooke.
The directors stared in disbelief.
Amanda calmly spoke.
"According to Section 14 of the family trust agreement..."
She slid one final folder across the table.
"...all financial support is terminated."
The chairman looked at Richard.
"As of this moment..."
"You are removed as Chief Executive Officer."
Richard stood so quickly his chair crashed backward.
"You can't do this!"
Amanda simply smiled.
"I already did."
Outside the building...
News reporters were already waiting.
